A two-minute lobby ritual that prevents hour-long tilt.
Use this checklist every time your EMOTIA Escape group loads a serious session. Read it aloud or paste it into chat. Takes two minutes. Saves five wipes.
The checklist
- Goal tonight: teaching run, chase practice, or clear attempt?
- Party size and mics: who is on voice, who is text-only?
- Roles locked: puzzle lead + lookout minimum (team roles).

Teaching-run variant
Add: link Getting Started for new players, ban deep spoilers unless asked, and schedule a mid-session break to answer questions about How to play.
Clear-attempt variant
Add: watchlist moments from the full walkthrough, confirm cleansing discipline from cleanse Emotians, and verify nobody is on zero S upgrades (upgrade tier list).
How to enforce without being annoying
Use humor, then firmness. “We start when lookout is named” is enough. If someone repeatedly skips the list, they play flex on teaching nights until habits stick.
Solo adaptation
Skip mic politics. Still do goal, codes, Emote, audio, and tracker. Solo players fail from forgotten Settings more often than they admit.
After the run
Review three lines only: what worked, what wiped us, what we buy next. Dump detail into the floor tracker. If a patch dropped mid-session, open BETA notes.
